A 14-year old from Exeter has been arrested after allegedly attacking two men in the Magnolia Centre and Exmouth's Indoor Market.

Police were contacted after two separate incidents in Exmouth on Monday 15 April at a shop on Magnolia Walk and Exmouth Indoor Market on The Strand.

In both of these incidents men were assaulted and injured. In one attack, in Manchester Street a man sustained head injuries after being attacked by a gang of youths.

Police say the man was viciously attacked, punched and knocked to the ground. The injuries sustained, required hospital treatment.

Following enquiries by the neighbourhood team a 14-year-old boy from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He has been released on conditional police bail until 18 July while enquiries continue.
