This morning, a woman was rescued after being cut off by the tide between Orcombe Point and Rodney Point.
At 11.34am today (October 24), Exmouth RNLI's inshore lifeboat was called out to save a a woman who had been cut off by the tide. Exmouth Coastguard Rescue Team were also tasked.
The boat reached the casualty a few minutes after launching. She was taken on board the lifeboat to the safety of shore back at Exmouth Lifeboat Station where she was seen by the Coastguard Rescue Team. She was not injured and did not require medical treatment.
Having successfully completed the tasking, the lifeboat crew were stood down by H.M. Coastguard and the lifeboat was then made ready for service a short time later.
