The first stages of a new care home in Topsham are on their way - as guests open the new marketing suite.

A new luxury care home, part of the Cinnamon Care Collection will open in Topsham this summer to provide residential, dementia and respite care.

Watermeadow Granges’ marketing suite is located at Bewick Avenue, Topsham, and is open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

At an official opening ceremony in March, special guest Russ Gill, Police Constable for Topsham in the ‘60s, opened the new of marketing suite 

He began his police career in 1961 as a police cadet and after being posted to Paignton, Tiverton, Torquay and Plympton, was appointed as Topsham’s Police Officer in 1966.

Having had a stroke in 2015, Russ needs occasional respite care to ensure that his wife, Marian, has some time off from being his carer.

Until now, he has had to go further afield for luxury respite care and he welcomes the news of Watermeadow Grange opening in Topsham, enabling him to enjoy some respite and still be close to his family.

He said: “Watermeadow Grange is a welcome addition to Topsham. Having been associated with Topsham since the 60's, it's important to me that I am able to stay in the area close to my friends and family - and other locals will no doubt benefit from its location too.

“I'm really looking forward to my stay when the home is open - it looks fantastic, and the reviews of their other Cinnamon care homes are really great, so that’s very reassuring to me.”
