Enormous waves once again smashed against Sidmouth’s sea defences during high tides and strong winds.

Jacob’s Ladder also took a pounding with waves topping over the sea wall and damaging the beach huts.

The Royal Marine Band Service opened the event with their marching band display followed by a combat ready demonstration by marines from the Lympstone Commando Training Centre.
