This week is the second and final article of the railway as told by Robert Perry.
This week’s article is loosely based around the subject of brewing and drink, something which, looking back through the old 19th century newspapers, as a village, we seemed to enjoy and still do.
Recently Lympstone History Society was lucky enough to have Mr Derek Gore, of Exeter University, come and talk on “Vikings in Devon”.
Miss Ursula Perry’s photo was taken in the 1980s of PC Steve Kaldy and his wife Carol, when Lympstone had its own police officer, whose police house was located in Greenhill Avenue.
So many people wouldn’t have bothered to have taken this week’s photo, but I’m very glad they did.
