John W Clifton of West Palm Beach, in Florida, is searching for family history of the Clifton family of Cornwall and Devon. He has traced the family back to the 1500s and would like to have contact with relatives. He would like to get in touch with anyone from the area with the surname Clifton, or who is connected to the Clifton family.

My family name is Clifton. I was born in Devon but my father was born in Yorkshire. His father was born in Nottingham.
I am interested in the research you have done so far. I am sure you have spent some time researching from the Norman invasion onwards. You may find this web site of interest:
