Any information relating to the Gale family of Exeter?

William born abt 1849 parents Thomas and Susan (Susannah) married Lucy Hosgrove Gray in 1880 St Davids parish Church, he was described on one census as a corkcutter they had 4 children Clara 1881 Alfred 1883 Percival (Percy) 1889 and Amelia 1891 (my great grandmother)

I was told Percy had a barbers shop(?) for around 40 years in Exeter

Hi,

My Grandfather was Percival (Percy) Gale. He had a Barbors/Gents Hairdressers Shop at 131 Cowick Street Exeter. I can remember Grandad Percy shapening cut throat razors and heating up towels at the shop when I was a young boy. He died around 1970(?). The Blagdon name continued with my Father - Christopher Alfred Blagdon Gale. I do have some dates of the early Gale family in Exeter which I can look up if you wish.
