Any HELP. BOWDENS and CHANTER from BIDEFORD

Hi everyone, Happy New Year.

I am looking for any information on the Bowdens and Chanters from BIDEFORD who are directly linked to me.

I have traced my family from my Grandfather: Preston Chanter Bowden and my Grandmother Lily

They moved to NEWPORT. MONMOUTHSHIRE

Preston was born in 1890 in Bideford, Devon

I have traced the line to the 1851 Census where the CHANTER line becomes evident

Frances Chanter (Head of the House)a widow lived at 90 Potters Lane.Bideford.Devon

My Gt,Gt,Gt Grandfather Henry Bowden then aged 23 lived with his mother-in -law

along with his wife Fanny also aged 23 and their son John aged 1 year

If anyone can provide any information or help in the family line prior to that date I would be greatly indebted.

I do believe Henry Bowden's father was a Richard Bowden but I cannot from Derby search the Bideford, Parish Records.
